What We Do

In 2014, WillowTree Supports put its roots down with the mission to fill an increasing gap in community services for adults living with special needs.

In those six years, the individuals that have benefited from comprehensive day and employment services, as well as the impact on the surrounding community, is immeasurable. For people with a developmental disability, it’s also about experiencing the same human rights, responsibilities, and opportunities as others in society. It means that all people have the right to participate and contribute to society through the many stages of life. It also means living a life beyond the 'service system', a life in a community, where people can experience self-determination through their own choices. Citizenship also means feeling like you belong to a community, and in that community, you are respected for your abilities, inherent talents, and unique contributions to that community's ultimate success.

In addition, our agency has extended efforts to provide others in surrounding communities with necessities that, otherwise, would remain unattainable to those in need and has truly worked to enrich countless lives through gifts and donations from the WillowTree Support Foundation.

Our Mission

The mission of WillowTree Supports is to assist and support people with developmental disabilities; to help those individuals gain access and membership into community groups in order to develop lasting relationships based on common interests, needs, strengths, and capabilities.

WillowTree Supports seeks nothing less for individuals with a disability than a life surrounded by the richness and diversity of community.  A collective life.  An everyday life.  A powerful life that gains its joy from the creativity and connectedness that comes when we join as citizens to create an inclusive world.

“Citizenship is about every individual's right to embrace and fully participate in a community that values diversity and strives for the inclusion of all its members.”
